February - Highstreet Makeup Haul.

Hey,

Today I decided not to let the appauling British weather beat me, so I spent the morning wandering round the shops buying some lovely products/items to show you!

My first purchase was the MUA 'Undress your skin' Shimmer highlighter, I have been looking for a new highlighter for ages now and I saw this one and picked it up. I have read good reviews about this and a few people have recomended it so I will let you know on Instagram what I think of it.

Secondly, I brought the 'Rimmel Extreme black wonderful mascara'. I really like the size of the applicator on this mascara, it is also a plastic wand.

Next I purchased the 'Superdrug Hair Therapy with Argon Oil' -  I have noticed recently the ends of my hair have been feeling slightly dry, so I am hoping this oil changes that!

Of course, I needed a new bronzer. So I picked up the 'MUA Bronzed perfection'. I can't get over the size of this product, its a huge powder. So in theory it should last a while, I will also let you know how well it works with my highlighter.

Second to last I just brought a new concealer, of course my sworn by one. NYC cover stick in the shade 'Natural'. I adore these concealer sticks, they work really well for those dark circles underneath your eyes and any blemishes.

And finally, my most favourite purchase today would have to be the BRAND NEW 'Arched Powder 100 Brush' from Real Techniques 'Bold Metals Collection'. These brushes are very pricey although they are 100% worth the money. As long as you wash them and care for the brushes they will last years, worth the investment.

I hope you have enjoyed this little Highstreet Haul, I will do a post prehaps at the end of the week letting you all know how I got on with these products and my thoughts on them.

Until next time,

What's going on?

Hey,

You may of noticed that my posts have been less frequent the last couple of weeks and I have a resonable reason for that... one word, school.
I am in my final few months of school and everything is insanely hectic and crazy! It was completely my choice to start this blog last year and I am going to continue it, all I ask is that you bare with me for the next couple of months. I will still be posting and I will be active on my other social media platfoms but I just need to get school finished and done.

I hope that you all decide to stay reading my blog because I honestly love wrtiting it.

Until next time,

MY GRAZE BOX ARRIVED!

Hey,
A couple of days ago I woke up to the wonderful surprise of my Graze Box being delivered.
If you aren't familar with what a Graze Box is, let me explain... It is a box which contains tasty healthy snacks! You can choose from hundreds of different combinations to create you own box.
As this was my first box I honestly didn't know what to expect, so I just chose an already 'put together' box, meaning the snacks inside were already chosen.
My box contained; Jam Doughnut, Peanut Butter with Pretzel sticks, Habas Tapas and Jaffa cake flapjacks.
So, what actually is each of these snacks?

Jam Doughnut - Raspberry strings, sponge pieces, raspberry cranberries and almonds.
Peanut Butter With Pretzel Sticks - Exactly as it sounds...
Habas Tapas - Jumbo Chilli corn, roasted corn and chilli broad beans.
Jaffa Cake Flapjacks -Rustic rolled oat flapack, with orange and chocolate.

Personally my favourite snack out of my whole box would have to of been the 'Jaffa Cake Flapjacks' because I am simply not a big fan of the other ingredients in the other snacks, although this was my fault for not changing the content of my box.

I highly recommend ordering yourself one of these boxes as they aren't expensive and are a great way to begin to eat healthier. You can order yourself a Graze Box by clicking here Order Yours Now!

Finally I really liked the fact that each snack was individually packaged meaning you could easily take them to school or work without having to take the whole box with you! Also, when I opened the box I really loved all the infomation about the company and the vouchers, nothing beats something being nicely packed!

Until next time,

(Please note I was NOT paid to write this review, it is simply my own opinion)

Youtubers + My Most Recent Video!

Hey,

Hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend!

If you follow me on my other social medias you will know about this video already, although if you dont know then let me explain. Yesterday I filmed a video to go with +SarahClose1 's youtube cover of 'Happy Little Pill' by @troyesivan . At first I wasn't sure how this video was going to turn out but after an hour of filming I was sure it was going to be something different and new for my channel.
My youtube channel has always been something that I have wanted to do a long side with my blog. I loved the idea of turning on the camera and uploading a video to youtube that thousands of people would see.
Although one thing I have always noticed about youtubers and anybody else on the internet is that they recieve hate. I work extemely hard on every single one of my youtube videos and despite this I always recieve horrible, nasty comments. I am not embarassed by my online work at all... My hobby is photography and filming so why should I be ashamed of sharing this on youtube? Nothing makes me more angry than my friends who also work ridiculously hard on youtube videos recieveing grief from people who simply don't understand their career and hobby. Would you insult someone because they work on TV? You would most likely be proud of them, so why is it any different for youtubers!?

On a happier note, my video which I uploaded yesterday 'Happy Little Pill - Troye Sivan/Sarah Close Inspired Video' has already recieved great comments! Also Sarah, herself has watched it and said it was 'Amazing'. I am aware this is only a small step but its something that I am very proud of.
You can watch my new video here... Happy Little Pill - Video by Stormydoos

I really enjoyed filming something unrelated to my normal videos and posts, despite this I will also plan on filming many 'Beauty, fashion & Lifestyle' videos for you all to enjoy!

One more quick thing, I am now going to be uploading post on Mondays and Fridays, due to school work and just general life. Dont forget you can keep up with what Im doing on my other social media platforms ... My Instagram My Twitter

Until next time,

2015 Goals!

Hey,

First of all, Happy friday!
For todays blog post I have decided to share with you all some of my 2015 goals!

This year is a big one for me because I am finally finishing school! Only 4 months left and then I have three months before beginning college, im slightly excited *squeal*.

- My first main goal would have to be finishing school and getting the grades I need to be able to participate in the college course that I want to do, which is an Extended Diploma in Photography.
-  A second goal would have to be to become more well known with other bloggers...
- I would love to be able to go on holiday at some point this year with my family, we haven't been away on a proper holiday for quite a few years for various reasons and I think we all deserve and need a break.
- Finally to get fitter, I know many people have this as one of their goals but honestly I believe that when you are fitter and healthy that you are happier. If anyone has any tips on how to get motivated to do some exercise please let me know! Tweet me!

Of course there are many other goals but they ^ are the main ones...

I will be reading this in a years time to see how many of these I have achieved!

Have a great weekend!
Until next time,

AMA Designs! 'Decor Block Art'

Hey,

For my birthday I recieved a beautiful unique gift from my two best friends. As I have a 'slightly' unsual name it has always been a nightmare, if not impossible to find anything personalised (with my name on). Also each block has a photo of our favourite memories on top, this gift is irreplaceable.

So your probably wondering why this post is called 'AMA Designs' well... My friends mum is extremely talented. The pieces that Alison creates honestly always manages to amaze me, from beaded candle decorations to wooden bunting! Everything is handmade and unique.
I personally would rather buy items from independent businesses like AMA Designs than a big mass producing shop.

I hope this post has prehaps made you think about giving smaller, better quality businesses your time!
I am looking forward to working with more projects like this in the future.

Thank you very much Issy and Olivia for my brilliant birthday present, its one of a kind and I love it!
Until next time,

How to - Chocolate Marshmallows!?

Hey,
Hopefully by this end of this post you will know how to make some super yummy chocolate dipped marshmallows.
Originally this idea came from Gabby Lindley (Youtuber) one of her videos, showing everyone how to make little reindeer using marshmallows and pretzels. GABBY'S VIDEO!

Myself and Olivia attempted this, not really knowing exactly how to make them although it wasn't difficult at all!
All you need is;
- Chocolate (preferably dark)
- Kebab Skewers
- Marshmallows
- Fridge
- Microwave
- Spoon

Right....

  • First of all you need to take the chocolate bar/s and break them up into a bowl. You will need a fair amount of chocolate, we used two bars (as you can see in the photos)
  • Place the chocolate to one side in the bowl, you won't need it for a while.
  • Open your bag of marshmallows and begin putting them on the kebab skewers. We placed ours onto a plate after doing so.
  • When you have done as many marshmallows as you think you would like, take the bowl of chocolate and put it in the microwave long enough to melt the chocolate (depends on the voltage of microwave!)
  •  When the chocolate is melted, take the bowl out of the microwave and begin covering the marshmallows one by one in chocolate by using a spoon.
  • Once you have covered all of the marshmallows, simply place them into the fridge. They usually take about an hour to set!
  • If you would like to decorate them like Gabby did, then you need to do it before you put the marshmellows into the fridge to set!

We had great fun making these little treats! They are so easy to make and certainly worth it.

One more thing! The other evening I checked my twitter to find that all 5000+ of my tweets had been deleted. I am STILL ON TWITTER, I just sadly have to start again. Still the same account just hardly any tweets now @stormydoos if you would like to follow me!

Until next time,
